BBB Accredited Business Finds a Way to Do the Right Thing

“We were tough competitors. It impressed me that a competitor, who we fought hard against over the years, did something like that. I don't think most guys would have done that.”
   
That’s what financially troubled Windsor auto dealer John Chamberlain, who surrendered his five dealerships to Chrysler Financial this month, told the Greeley Tribune when describing how Weld County Garage stepped in to buy up unpaid loans for 20 of 40 trade-ins that Iron Mountain did not pay off.

Doing the right thing. Even when times are tough. Even when there’s a price tag attached.

“It came as no surprise to us that Weld County Garage Would step up to the plate like that,” said Barbara Read, vice president of communications for the BBB serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming.

Weld County Garage has been a BBB Accredited Business since 1992 and has an A+ rating. The Greeley auto dealership was among the first winners of the prestigious BBB Torch Award, which honors companies for outstanding business ethics.
